We are looking for the next generation of consumer apps which take advantage of the social graph of the Cosmos and the Interchain and find ways to introduce interesting and fun use cases that take advantage of the Cosmos stack on Neutron, especially those which aren’t purely financial. Examples include token-gated chatrooms, online bulletin boards which are signed using a user’s address, on-chain gaming, or other social applications which may be built on NFTs or other blockchain-native primitives.
How will this Core RFP add value to Neutron and the Interchain?
- The Cosmos is in dire need of unique applications that drive new users to Cosmos, the Atom Economic Zone (AEZ), and Neutron and we believe that new and unique consumer applications will be a big driver of this
- Consumer-focused apps, especially in the social sphere, are an area within crypto with significant untapped potential despite the recent successes of applications such as Friend. Tech. This is an area in which Neutron could potentially act as a key hub within the wider Interchain
- We are looking to fund Neutron’s “Killer App” with the consumer-facing or social sector and we are especially looking for applications that take advantage of the Interchain’s cross-chain capabilities and leverage the communities of different chains within Cosmos, not just Neutron.
What are the Criteria for this Core RFP?
- The application must be for a working consumer or social application that is built on Neutron
- There must be a clear go-to-market strategy for the product
- Potential roadmap on how to expand the application’s functionality to leverage DeFi protocols built on Neutron in the future
- Focus on mobile-first users is ideal, but not required
How will the NGP measure progress for submissions for this Core RFP?
- We will track metrics such as daily active users, TVL (depending on the structure of the application), and the extent to which the application drives bridging activity to Neutron
